PFW Fall 2012 - March 2

So here they are the pictures I took outside the shows last friday… I have to admit I’m not fully happy with them. I’m still getting used to my new camera & new lens, I certainly missed the advantage that my previous 18-200mm lens gave me but I really wanted to try with the fixed 50mm since it gives such a beautiful bokeh effect…

You’ll have to tell me what you think!

Tomorrow I’ll show you some pictures of my outfit from saturday and other shots I took around {Plus the amazing shots Flo took… he’s getting pretty good at photography and I’m scared he’s even better than me now… You’ll see, his photos are great!}

1. ADR's perfect bracelets/ 2. Elisa Nalin / 3. A hint of orange / 4. Susie Lau / 5. Golden era inspiration / 6. Florals & Neons / 7. Soft citrics / 8. Smiley Leigh Lezark :) / 9. Look at the little surprise I received today in the mail :) It’s my latest acquisition and I’m completely in LOVE with it <3
A couple of weeks ago I saw a post by Camille Co that led me to discover these beauties… what I like is that they are different to the usual stuff and they are handmade :)

Birthday getaway I

Remember that last month I told you that for my birthday Flo and I spent the weekend in the Normandy? Well here are finally some pictures from this beautiful getaway.

We stayed at a little town named Roz-Sur-Couesnon just 20 min far from Mont Saint-Michel at a gorgeous house which is almost completely self-sustaining owned by Hildegard an adorable woman. This place is magic and has the most beautiful view of the Mont St Michel.

It was the perfect plan for us to disconnect from the world and have some time for ourselves, I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

The afternoon of the first day we decided to go to a town named Dol-de-Bretagne to visit the Cathédrale Saint-Samson de Dol {The largest in the area of Bretagne} and to eat the famous galettes of this area at a restaurant named La Table Ronde.

Greece day 3: Aegina

So it’s a wrap! The last pictures from the last day and actually from the whole stay in Greece.

They are from the island of Aegina, which was my least favorite not because it lacked beauty but because it’s bigger than the other two and didn’t actually get to know enough of it to find it’s beauty.

I also add some pictures taken on our way back to the port, the sunset over the Mediterranean sea seemed like the sky was on fire and was giving us beautiful spectacle of colors.

Hopefully next I’ll be able to go to Mykonos and Santorini {hint 4 bf!}

I hope you like the pictures!

Greece day 3: Poros

So continuing on the Greece series, here are the pictures from the second island we visited on our last day of the trip.

This was my second favorite of the three and the reason is because it is not as obviously traditional-greek as Hydra, and it is more tourist-y… but once you dare to wander around and get a bit lost, you get to find it’s inner beauty. Like you’ll see in the last pictures where I found the most beautiful spot to shoot :)

The gorgeous bracelets bought in Hydra. I chose the blue one, because it reminded me of the gorgeous color of the Mediterranean Sea, which is a deep indigo blue.

Isn’t the last spot with the white Bougainvilleas exquisite?

Greece day 3: Hydra

Hi guys! Here are the photos from the 3rd and last day my mom and I spent in Greece. It was the one I enjoyed the most, and in which I took the most pictures. We took a small day tour to the islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina. I was originally gonna make one post for the 3 islands, but decided in the end to make one post per island.

About Hydra I can tell you that it was my favorite of the 3. The city is car-free and is gorgeous! The colors, the people, the million cats {I’ve never loved cats, but I love the ones from Hydra}, the food, everything is just PERFECT.

Plus, if you know me, you are well aware of my obsession with bracelets, and this island has tons of jewelries with the most beautiful handmade bracelets I’ve ever seen! I wanted all! but couldn’t afford it, so got only one ^^

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!

To honor this country’s flora, I was wearing olive green nail polish ;)

The first bracelet, I got on the first day in Athens.

Greece day 1: Athens

So here, finally some pictures of the few trips I did with my mom while her visit. There aren’t as many pictures as I’d like but still I wanna share this with you.

Before this, I had never had the opportunity to do a mother-daughter trip, and I can tell you it was amazing.

It’s funny the circumstances in which it developed as my mom would say “Who would have thought you and I were going to be alone in Greece/Italy/UK?" {specially since my parents, my brother and I are always a tight pack that goes up and down always together}

The photos I share with you today are from our first day in Greece, more specifically in Athens. Seriously, let me tell you we had no idea what we were doing. So we arrived, and smart-pants-me decided that in order to save money we’d take public transportation instead of a taxi.

So we took the first bus, and had to get off and walk a few blocks to find the second one and well… we got hell lost, no knowledge of the greek language whatsoever and we had to walk a looot of blocks in a really creepy neighborhood. Until we finally took a second bus {which wasn’t the one we originally searched for} and sat there happy without a clue until an old man came to us and told us it was the last stop… he didn’t speak a word of english/spanish/french but still this adorable man asked us for the address we were heading to {he must have realized how lost we were}… and started asking around for like half an hour until he found someone who knew, and he literally walked us to the door of our hotel :)

The hotel was beautiful! but the area omg scary x1000. We suddenly asked ourselves what the hell were we doing there? But then we got our courage back and walked all the way to Acropolis took a few pictures, ate something and went running back to our hotel. For the next two days we decided to not risk it and take tours… but that will be another story ^^

PS. One thing I have to say is that, I have nothing but gratitude towards greek people. They are going through a really tough moment, and that doesn’t stop them from being extremely kind and helpful.

I hope I didn’t bore you!! Enjoy the pictures!!

Yle

Warm moments in Paris

These photos are back in the beginning of October, the day I got myself an antique book about Marie Antoinette {which I haven’t yet finished} and I also treated myself with a box of macarons with the Matthew Williamson special edition design.

The photos just depict how beautiful Paris is with a warm weather, which I’m quite missing right now since today we’re at 13°C and that for a mexican girl feels like the North Pole.

There’s a bunch of delayed pictures I have to share with you, but they will come on soon.

How are your days going? How are you receiving the autumn/winter season?

Bisous!
