Greece day 1: Athens
So here, finally some pictures of the few trips I did with my mom while her visit. There aren’t as many pictures as I’d like but still I wanna share this with you.
Before this, I had never had the opportunity to do a mother-daughter trip, and I can tell you it was amazing.
It’s funny the circumstances in which it developed as my mom would say “Who would have thought you and I were going to be alone in Greece/Italy/UK?” {specially since my parents, my brother and I are always a tight pack that goes up and down always together}
The photos I share with you today are from our first day in Greece, more specifically in Athens. Seriously, let me tell you we had no idea what we were doing. So we arrived, and smart-pants-me decided that in order to save money we’d take public transportation instead of a taxi.
So we took the first bus, and had to get off and walk a few blocks to find the second one and well… we got hell lost, no knowledge of the greek language whatsoever and we had to walk a looot of blocks in a really creepy neighborhood. Until we finally took a second bus {which wasn’t the one we originally searched for} and sat there happy without a clue until an old man came to us and told us it was the last stop… he didn’t speak a word of english/spanish/french but still this adorable man asked us for the address we were heading to {he must have realized how lost we were}… and started asking around for like half an hour until he found someone who knew, and he literally walked us to the door of our hotel :)
The hotel was beautiful! but the area omg scary x1000. We suddenly asked ourselves what the hell were we doing there? But then we got our courage back and walked all the way to Acropolis took a few pictures, ate something and went running back to our hotel. For the next two days we decided to not risk it and take tours… but that will be another story ^^
PS. One thing I have to say is that, I have nothing but gratitude towards greek people. They are going through a really tough moment, and that doesn’t stop them from being extremely kind and helpful.
I hope I didn’t bore you!! Enjoy the pictures!!
