A hint of pink
Finally! after many extra-cold, commitment-full weeks we were able to have a “normal weekend” and the chance to take some pictures for the blog… I had missed it and I can’t wait to do it again and again.
It was nice to have some free time for a change, though today I’m stuck at home with a lot of homework that I just can’t seem able to start… What about...

Such a nice day
Yesterday we went to Courtney & DD’s wedding. It was such a nice day and I’m really glad we got to share that moment with them.
The reception was beautiful and the company amazing, just really warm and friendly people.
I’ll have to share with you a couple of pictures of the groom and bride who obviously looked adorable and so in love.
In the meantime I leave you with these...

Bits of a sunday
Hey guys! I’m sorry I’ve abandoned you lately… I’m still adapting to the new schedule and as some of you may know, the temperature has drastically dropped here in Paris lately and when that happens my outfits are all about functionality and not at all about fashion {sad I know, but I’m just no good at winter clothes}
Anyways I promise you that I’ll try to post...

Back to School
As you may remember, I’m finally in school! which normally wouldn’t be such a thing to celebrate much about, but the reason I’m excited is that I’m finally doing and actual something to put myself in the direction of fashion.
I’m really excited and looking forward to this new experience. There’s really amazing people in my group and I think it will be really...

Galactic nails
Yesterday I bumped into this amazing tutorial from 342 Lawn Street to make a “galaxy print” on your nails, so today the first thing I did was to give it a shot.
I will repeat them, since this time I experimented on top of the nail polish I already had on my nails so I’m hoping I will get a better result when I do every step from scratch.
In any case, I really like this look!...

Birthday getaway I
Remember that last month I told you that for my birthday Flo and I spent the weekend in the Normandy? Well here are finally some pictures from this beautiful getaway.
We stayed at a little town named Roz-Sur-Couesnon just 20 min far from Mont Saint-Michel at a gorgeous house which is almost completely self-sustaining owned by Hildegard an adorable woman. This place is magic and has the most...

Happy New Year!

Anonyme a demandé : Hi Ylenia! Happy new year! A question for you : did you wait until you get the French school's acceptance and student visa before you moved to France? or did you move and then applied to the school? I'm thinking of applying for next september but it's still too early for the applications and I've been told the results will come out only in may or even July, it just seems too...

Noël à Bordeaux
Happy Holidays everyone!
I’m back now from my holiday break ready to share some photos with you :)
As I may have mentioned before, Flo’s family lives in Bordeaux therefore we spent Christmas over there.
It was a first for me. Since it’s the first Christmas ever that I spent away from my family so as you may guess it was a bit hard for me. But Flo’s family kindness and...

On top of the world
A few pictures from the day I took my mom to the obliged visit to the top of the Eiffel Tower; Flo and his sister Noun joined us.
Right now I’m off in Bordeaux for the holidays, so there’s a big chance I won’t get to update much.
What are your plans for the holidays, how are you gonna celebrate?
Bisous

Un jour d'hiver
This sunday, against all odds I went outdoors… the motivation was, that it was the first time the weather was nice in a long time; though that doesn’t mean it wasn’t freezing, it was 3°C which for me is pretty much unbearable.
Since I was already on a good track deciding to go out, I decided to dress in an acceptable manner {I have this tendency to dress terrible during...

Another day in Versailles
I don’t know about you, but I just feel like Versailles is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I love pictures there, it such a great environment to get inspired… reason why, there’s yet again pictures of us in Versailles; but still they are different. There was a thick layer of fog that gave the place a new look, and gave the pictures a special winter feeling.
Go check...

I’ve changed my theme, I’m not a 100% sure I like it yet.
I was actually pretty happy with the previous theme but I really wanted to put the header and my theme didn’t let me, plus in this one DISQUS actually works.
But I’m not a fan of the font, nor the links on top of the header… what do you think?
If anyone who’s super html savvy wants to help me in making...

Really good advice...
I only half/disagree on the fashion part.
It is true that the typical parisian is that one dressed all in black {and neutrals} and certain etiquette. But an amazing side of Paris {that I personally love} is the chance to express yourself through fashion; yes you’ll be frowned upon by the elder/conservative french people + the clueless tourists… but self-expression is cherished here,...

Unexpected brightness
Remember that unexpected week in the beginning of october that after months of waiting it actually felt like summer in Paris? It was one week in which the temperatures went high and everyone was out trying to catch a little bit of this weather for themselves.
Today, with the cold weather and the gray skies, I cannot help but to crave for a day like this… I’m just not a cold-weather...

Greece day 3: Aegina
So it’s a wrap! The last pictures from the last day and actually from the whole stay in Greece.
They are from the island of Aegina, which was my least favorite not because it lacked beauty but because it’s bigger than the other two and didn’t actually get to know enough of it to find it’s beauty.
I also add some pictures taken on our way back to the port, the sunset over...

Greece day 3: Poros
So continuing on the Greece series, here are the pictures from the second island we visited on our last day of the trip.
This was my second favorite of the three and the reason is because it is not as obviously traditional-greek as Hydra, and it is more tourist-y… but once you dare to wander around and get a bit lost, you get to find it’s inner beauty. Like you’ll see in the...

Greece day 3: Hydra
Hi guys! Here are the photos from the 3rd and last day my mom and I spent in Greece. It was the one I enjoyed the most, and in which I took the most pictures. We took a small day tour to the islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina. I was originally gonna make one post for the 3 islands, but decided in the end to make one post per island.
About Hydra I can tell you that it was my favorite of the 3. The...

Greece day 2: Delphi & Arachova
Hey guys! How are you?
So here I present to you, the pictures of our second day in Greece. As I mentioned on the previous post, my mom and I were just too scared to adventure around on our own so we decided to take a little tour to the archeological site Delphi (with a fast stop in a cute mountain town named Arachova).
This was the place where the Delphic oracle was located, and a temple of...

Greece day 1: Athens
So here, finally some pictures of the few trips I did with my mom while her visit. There aren’t as many pictures as I’d like but still I wanna share this with you.
Before this, I had never had the opportunity to do a mother-daughter trip, and I can tell you it was amazing.
It’s funny the circumstances in which it developed as my mom would say “Who would have thought you...

Un jour au Marché
Keeping up with the holiday spirit, last sunday Flo and I went to the Marché de Noël on Champs Elysées. It was sort of a nice way to distract from the homesick-ness and at the same time trigger it too.
What are you guys doing to get in the Christmas mood?
Joyeuses fêtes!
